The Shields family made it down for a spontaneous last weekend of summer at La Costa - unfortunately it happened to be for the one weekend in the last year that the girls were not here - since they had headed up to spend a couple of days at my parent's house and Paul & I had Pageant of the Masters with his family. So, while we didn't get to spend the amount of time with them that we would like, at least we were able to squeeze in a late lunch/early dinner at Pizza Port after the girls got home and on their way home!! We don't get to see much of them, but its so nice because the kids don't miss a beat together, they pick right up where they left off the year before...
They only live 90 minutes away - why in the hell do we only see them once a year or so? I am pathetic!!!
