Thumbs up!

Wow, check me out!  Two posts in three days - its a flashback to yesteryear!  So McKenzie had her 6 month post-surgery check-up today - I cannot believe it will have been six months tomorrow!  Anyway, we did the ultra-sound and Dr. Holmes had agreed at her three month visit that because of the trauma she was experiencing, we would not schedule her for a VCUG at her six month, as is customary, and "see where she's at and discuss it" at that appointment instead.  Good deal!  So, we did the ultrasound and met with him afterwards.  He said her films looked great and he's pleased with where she is...he's comfortable moving forward without the VCUG.  He gave me the green light to discontinue daily antibiotics and assuming we have no symptoms of a UTI, we see him again in October. Rock on McKenzie!!!

She did really well with the appointment today - the only time she got upset was when he wanted her lay down on the table to check her incision location and tummy - she freaked out big time so he did it with her standing up - she was okay with that, less vulnerable position I guess.
Anyway, thrilled with the results!!!
