Saturday Night at the Angels Game

Finally, the day was here. For the first time in as long as I can remember, and probably my entire life, I went an entire baseball season without a single game (other that spring training)...and that was last season. Pathetic and unimagineable, especially after so many years of spending at least 81 nights at the ballpark...I have felt quite a void, as silly as that seems, and visiting the park is usually the only time I see some of my friends from the good ol' days.

So, finally the day was here. My former colleague Richard had told me to pick a game this season...I looked at the schedule and chose a game that wasn't against a big draw opponet and against someone I would like to see from the opposing team...so I chose the Twins. Fortunately, it turned out that my friend Rob, former Twins PR director turned Asst. GM, was going to make the trip and we made plans to catch up.

Since we are in SD, its not as easy as it used to be - we would have met up for lunch/post-game cocktails, etc...But at least we were able to catch up at ballpark - and it was awesome! Also got to see a few other former teammates, a little food for the soul.

In the parking lot before we went in...

In our seats...
Showing off her baseball overalls...

Paying close attention...

Hangin' with Daddy....
Paul was impressed with his game shots...Specifically, he liked that the pitcher was throwing and he captured the opposing player on deck watching...? (Kind of hard not to?) Oh well...

Enjoying the lights & activity...safe in Daddy's lap...

Visiting with the neighbors, trying to find our where they got their Angels tatoo...mission accomplished.
Ofcourse McKenzie decided to close out the game by taking a mouth first dive into the seat in front of me and coming up with a bloody mouth - but teeth in tact! :)
