Quick Uneventful Medical Update for McK:

Her x-rays last week still showed her to be "moderately FOS (full of shit)" - so we have been referred to a GI specialist at Children's to figure out how we can make sure that her blockage is "evicted" in its entirety so we can shift focus to making sure she keeps moving and we don't revisit this in a few months...Her appt. is not until Sept. 10.

Also, because of her UTI, we will be having a renal ultrasound and VSUG, also at Children's, on Aug. 5 - these are being done to make sure there are no structural reasons for a UTI at her age.

We are still waiting for the urine culture results from last week's ped appointment - but the nurse told me the initial urine test looked good - which means the antibiotics appear to have done their job and cleared up her UTI (logical based on her change in temperment the day after she had them in her IV).

So, all in all we are moving forward....and she seems to be doing well, with the exception of her new fear of doctors, nurses, doctor's offices and hospitals! :)
