Fun with the Del Vecchios!

A long ago calendared play date with Jody, Adam & Zak FINALLY arrived this weekend! We headed up to Westwood early Saturday a.m. to squeeze in a quick visit with Laura and finally meet baby Jackie. Sorry, no pictures - she was sleeping while we were there. :( Next time we will for sure get pictures of all four girls together.

We then braved the crowds and headed back down to Hermosa Beach where we met the Del V's for lunch at the Cantina on Pier. Their breakfast is one of our favorites, and we have been very hard pressed to find an equivelent down here - so the meal was a much anticipated one. Granted, parking was hell and it was way too HOT. We followed breakfast up with a stroll down to Fifth St. - which is where Paul & I were living when we met.

Oh yeah, then there is us, with our two kids as a result. :)

It was wierd to be back - for the first time, not a single neighbor remains - we moved off the street and onto 28th St. together some eight years ago, and this is the first time we have returned to NO friendly faces. Ofcourse if was bound to happen...But even more surprising is that they've done some remodeling of Paul's house - which is desperately needed, but its actually a cute little house now - not just the house with the awesome patio. :)

Back to casa de Del Vecchio in Lakewood we went - to get out of the sun and to get some much needed cat naps for the kids during the drive. They busted out their new bouncer - Zak and Mason had a great time. McKenzie opted for the front row seat and watched the action instead.
